Studio News/Current Projects
We're growing!
Infrasonic Sound Recording Co. has been picking up steam in the studio, mastering suite and fancy front office, where our label is based and ready to
churn out a number of releases this summer.
Keep an eye out this June for the self-titled collaborative project between Omar Rodriguez-Lopez (The Mars Volta)
and his late band mate Jeremy Michael Ward (who passed away in 2003). Originally issued as a limited edition (200), minidisc-only release and distributed amongst friends, the album has never enjoyed widespread availability until now (via Infrasonic Sound Recording Co). Available on CD and vinyl.
The Starlite Desperation has kept things in the family - recording, mastering and now releasing their upcoming full-length,
"Take it Personally," through Infrasonic Sound Recording Co, available in August of 2008. Stay tuned for upcoming show info.
Pete just wrapped up a session with L.A. based Howl and Jeff has been busy with mixing the latest from Devon Williams.
Wilderness stopped by in April and will return to Infrasonic this June to work with Pete on their forthcoming release (Jagjaguwar Records).
And that's not all! Pete's handiwork can also be found on No Age's Sub Pop debut (and latest release), "Nouns", which he recorded and mastered.
Infrasonic welcomes mastering engineer Richard Simpson back into the studio fold; he recently completed work on a direct-to-disc session, featured in EM, with Pete and Jeff.
